Testimonials

Heidi Onda

The LungCAN Advocate Media Training sessions provided the tools necessary to take my advocacy efforts to the next level and beyond. Whether giving an interview for print media, a video, a recorded news piece, or advocating to my legislators, the concept of shaping a brief message by creating and practicing sound bites with clear, concise messages while being authentic has been powerful. As each class built upon this foundation, and practice opportunities with other advocates were woven through the course, I found my confidence increase to deliver positive and compelling media messages about lung cancer. Presenting in different forums has become more comfortable for me, as I am an introvert at heart.
